(Rewrites story)
MOSCOW, May 20 (PRIME) -- Gazprom Export has not received the ruble payment for gas supplied in April from Finland’s Gasum as of the end of the working day on Friday and will stop exporting gas to the company from Saturday until the payment is done, the Russian company said in a statement on Friday.
Gazprom Export received a notification from Gasum that it will not pay for Russian gas in rubles and will initiate a court proceeding on the current gas supply contract, Gazprom Export said.
Gasum said earlier on Friday that gas supplies to Finland from Gazprom Export will finish at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Gasum also pledged to procure gas from different sources, using the Balticconector pipeline.
